If you have seen my post on Gon Pak stream and Ha Pak Nai, you can actually guess where this stream is located.

Still within the Lau Fau Shan area, this stream is accessible via Ha Pak Lai, though, some prefers to do it downstream via Leung Tin Au.

As many still asks how to get bus 33 from Yuen Long, I’ll try to elaborate it again, I hope this will help.

Since this is our favorite meeting place, I’ll start here at Castle Peak road, Yuen Long

Head eastwards
Turn left to Kuk Ting Street
Cross on Sai Tai Street… that colorful bldg. will be your landmark. That’s the Zenith Kindergarten.
Bus 33 to Ha Pak Nai is here

The bus will take about 25mins but when it’s full, the bus will take a quicker route skipping the Highway.

The last bus stop is here, the Ha Pak Nai village

Please refer to the video for more directions.

When you get to this point, just go straight ahead. For about 600m, you will arrive at the stream where you have to go under the bridge. Take note that you really have to get into the water at the start of this trek.
Enjoy your trek
Your first landmark, I suppose this is a flood control structure, but others say it is a broken dam
This is the pool of the lying dragon
Just above the pool , you can see this on the right side
This is the Y intersection separating Tsing Tai and Tai Lang Shui streams, you must follow the left stream
After a few more scramblings and rock hoppings, you’ll start to see magnificent views ahead.. a wonderful reward for your courage to get this far..

I know it could be tempting to stay much longer, but remember that you still have to find the right exit.

In this area, it’s funny how there are so many exits created by hikers, some by motocross enthusiasts . There is like no official route you need to follow. It’s just your instincts that help you decide which way to go. If you have a detailed map with you, then that is an advantage.

However, if you want to follow us, read on!

The Castle Peak comes out in the open as you move further up from the stream.

Just about 100meters after those consecutive falls, (refer to video), the stream branches again in 2 smaller streams.

Here you may decide to take the left turn which will lead you to Leung Tin Au. Expect a mild accent to get there. The views on top are just amazingly beautiful, like you are in another country. The barren lands however, sadly reminds us of a forest fire some time ago which we hope will never happen again. From Leung Tin Au, just follow the road to your right to get to Leung King Estate in Tuen Mun.

As for our case, we decided to take the right stream to get closer to the Castle Peak since we have already been to Leung Tin Au. We then turned left at what looks like the cleanest path. It is a long way up to Castle Peak and down to Tuen Mun but it was all worth it. After all, it is what we call adventure.
