Today, October 20, 2019, the enthusiastic Filipino hikers in Hong Kong meet again to support the very simple but meaningful fun run organised by TFH for an OFW diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease stage 4.

The challenge is not only about the runners’ physical prowess but also with their ability to mingle socially as well as their mental and emotional preparedness.

The 7km route from The Peak to Pok Fu Lam Reservoir road has not been marked and there were no guides as well. The runners only had to rely on the official trail signposts to follow the right direction and this is where the fun began.

After only 50 minutes, the first two female runners reached the finish point almost simultaneously.First time runner Dalian Aboen outran Terra09 female Champion Rosanna Sadino in the last inch of the final lap winning by milliseconds, therefore claiming her first, fantastic win in trail running event.

In his comment on The Filipino Hikers facebook post, Gerald Canor said the trail is not very challenging but the route is.

It was really fun.. love it.. lesson “think before you go”..😂 trail is not challenging but I was challenge on the route. Thanks! I’ve learned. Good Good good. – Gerald Canor

In life, misadventures will lead us to know more… people, places, foods, etc.. etc.. we can gain friends too and it’s good to help each other to reach your destination together…
BUT if misadventures keep leading you to more misadventures and it’s pulling you away from your goal, then perhaps it’s about time to pull yourself out of it..- AB)

Hong Kong trails are properly signposted, if we follow the right direction, we’ll certainly reach our destination quickly. We may get lost somewhere along the way but of we retrace our steps and seek help to find the right path, although late, but we will get there too.

In life, we were given many choices to make. With proper guidance and perseverance, we will realize our goals. We may be astray, misled, or disappointed at times, but looking back, regaining your strength and keeping your eye on your goal will surely lead you to the right path.

Remember, once you get lost and keep on wandering, you will never reach your preferred destination, but when you stop and think, you’ll be able to realise where you went wrong and you just have to go back on the right track to find your way to your goal.-AB

Sometimes u have to be independent,. That u have to FIND YOUR OWN WAY because in life, strangers have nothing to do in ur success. In life, they might lead you to the wrong way. We get lost but at least we reach the finish line (we very much enjoy it anyway, we stick together until the end with laughters on the way🤣). Above all, it’s not about winning, it’s all about the experience and the main cause of the race.❤-Virgo Sept.

It is better to go slow in the right direction than to go fast in the wrong direction.- Jeryl

Some also said they just enjoyed the race with not much pressure on them.
